Children Learning And Living The Fruit Of The Spirit

by Bridget Holley

Proverbs 22:6 Instructs us to Teach children in the way they should go; when they are old they will not depart from it.

Parents today are extremely busy, but they still have the important responsibility of providing proper guidance and direction for their children.

When we were very young my parents encouraged me and my seven siblings to join our church choir. One of the first spiritual songs we learned was "This Little Light Of Mine". And the song goes on to say "I’m gonna to let it shine". The light the song is referring to is our character.

Jesus Christ wants us to let our light shine. He set the example of how we should behave and presented the characteristics we should demonstrate. As parents we want our children to let their light shine not only in church but everyday and everywhere.

Christians strive as much as possible to have the same character as Christ. We could never be perfect, but by inviting the Holy Spirit to be a part of our life can help us develop more of a Christian character. Such character can enable us to be strong and endure the trials in the world also blessing us with the traits of the fruit of the Spirit.

Galations 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, , faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (NAS)

We are aware by exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit our lives and our children lives would be more rewarding and have more inner peace.

Do parents want their children to have more joy, peace and possess the characteristics of the Spirit? Of course they do.

Knowing the great treasure of possessing the fruit of the Spirit and characteristics are valuable to instill in children in bedrooms, class rooms, and child care centers, after all these are the places where they spend most of their time.

Because of so much negative influence parents are seeking fun, creative and unique ways to encourage and motivate their children. Give your child a good start by providing them with Angels All Around Inspirational Decor that consist of cute cherubs proudly displaying the fruit of the Spirit that will help increase self-esteem and confidence.

Helping children to learn and live the fruit of the Spirit makes a positive impact and equips them with what is greatly needed to live their best life into adulthood.

Whether with a beautiful inspirational ceiling mobile, wall border, photo frame, or growth chart, there is something for everyone to promote and encourage an inspirational atmosphere.

Ephesians 5:8-10 says For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: For the fruit of the Spirit is all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. (KJV)

Help your child’s light to shine with inspirational decor that is excellent for spiritual, emotional, social, and interpersonal growth and development. Good words, good thoughts and set a good foundation to help your children think on what’s good and pure.

Deborah Norville’s Power Of Thank You Stirs Up New And Unique Room Decor For Children

Nationally known journalist Deborah Norville brings her reporting skills in Thank You Power to highlight the exciting research proving the life improvements that can stem from the practice of gratitude. Such research has been found effective by providing children with a nurturing atmosphere with Motivating Decor. New and unique room decor creatively designed with affirmations of good words and good thoughts to set a good foundation.

One never out grows the uniqueness because it is not based on TV or movie pushed cartoon characters and personalities but real character traits with winning personalities that positively change the lives of children with empowering words such as you are special, be thankful, believe in yourself, self-control, you can do it, forgive, respect, and many more.

"Thank You Power is the extraordinary force that comes simply from acknowledging the 'good things' in life. Beginning with the regular practice of counting one's blessings and feeling thankful for them, one can become healthier, happier, smarter, more resilient and even able to undo the negative effects of stress." says Deborah.

As we know building good character should start in the home. We heard it a hundred times parents are their child’s first teacher. Teaching our children to say "thank you" is a start to having good manners. And as parents it is our responsibility to help our children develop into good individuals by providing enrichment.

It is best to empower and teach children in their early formative years principles that are important to enhance interpersonal, social and emotional development that can help them live their best life into adulthood.

It is crucial to encourage positive behavior, instill good character, proper manners, and integrity in bedrooms, classrooms, and child care centers after all these are the places where children spend most of their time. Recently on The 700 Club Deborah commented that her son’s grades improved once he started recognizing even small things to be thankful for.
